Poison Regularly Stealing The Night on the Def Leppard/Motley Crue Stadium Tour

As the Joan Jett, Poison, Motley Crue and Def Leppard stadium tour continues it’s historical audience attendance. There’s common talk of one band emerging from the line-up as dominating the evening. And that group is Poison.

As the biggest tour of the summer continues. Fans have been reporting their opinions online. And reporters have even stated in headlines. That Poison is the band of the evening. Their energy, accuracy and dedication shine through their 55 minute set list. Driving old school fans into a frenzy. The vast majority of the sold out stadiums have all shown up for the Poison set list. A rarity in a tour featuring so much material.

It’s fun to watch the stadiums fill up immediately for Poison. Their energy and gravitas have barely aged at all. Brett Michaels runs around the massive stage like it’s 1991. Bobby Dall and Rikki Rockett lay down the rhythm section as well as ever. And C.C. DeVille is on full display as the hottest musician of the evening. Slaying solo after solo and riff after riff. With intense confidence, swagger and technical ability to test any of the guitar greats.

Rikki Rockett is debuting his new Ahead drumsticks on this tour. For you drum nerds out there. Adding a phat, heavy sound to the drums. Bassist Bobby Dall lays down the bass with deadly accuracy. While also keeping the audience engaged and invested. All in all, it seems like Poison are giving Def Leppard and Motley Crue a run for their money. Hopefully they can release new material and do a major headlining tour on their own.
