Ghost Drop First Track In Three Years With ‘Hunter’s Moon’

Tobias Forge and co. are back with their first new material since 2018’s ‘Prequelle.’ Contributing to the new ‘Halloween Kills.’ It’s a match made in heaven for the Michael Myers saga. Bringing in appropriate theme’s and the music to go along with it.

It’s classic Ghost. Opening with a picked apart chord, followed by the bass drum and Tobias Forge’s signature melodic voice. Ghost have always kind of had that bit of ABBA influence in their sound. And ‘Hunter’s Moon’ is no acception. ABBA are clearly a big influence on Forge. As well as countless heavy metal acts through the years. And those come together to form the unique and signature sound of Ghost. It’s clearly lent itself to their success. They’re the biggest rock band right now that’s not old as hell. Because really, it’s a timeless formula. Melodic and rockin.’

As the track continues, it just grows and grows. The heavy instrumental bridge is just killer. Before coming back to classic, sing along vocals. Personally, it’s how I like my heavy music. And why I’m a huge Ghost fan. And lyrically, it’s clear why the song is a perfect fit for the new ‘Halloween’ film. I mean, it’s kind of an obvious pairing when you think about it. Forge is without a doubt a fan of the ‘Halloween’ films. And his love for them shines throughout ‘Hunter’s Moon.’ A perfect, timeless slasher film hard rock song. Crank it and fly the flag.
