Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump speaks with reporters during a news conference in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, CA, USA, on July 10, 2015, after meeting privately with families of people who were killed by immigrants in the country illegally. Trump repeated his condemnation of U.S. immigration policies, insisting that other countries send criminals to the United States, which gladly accepts them. So you have the illegals come in and the illegals kill their children, and we better get smart in the United States,'' Trump said. Songs for a Trump presidency Pt. 2

As we all know Donald Trump became the 45th president of the United States.  Fan-fucking-tastic!! (That was sarcasm.)  People are pissed off.  An entire gender is protesting against an administration.  Not only all over the country are people protesting, people all over the world are.  Many metal artists have chimed in as well saying that the next four years will be a spur of creativity.  Artistic protest is an inevitable side effect of oppression and we’re about to feel some major oppression as one of the first acts that Trump has done is start to scale back on the Affordable Care Act.  Here’s the second group of songs to go with an oppressive President Trump.

Meshuggah – Neurotica

Coming in first today is Meshuggah’s 1998 masterwork ‘Neurotica’ from the album ‘Chaosphere’.  It’s mood and theme go along well with Trump and his cabinet.

Kyuss – One Inch Man

Coming off of Kyuss’ 1995 album is their final single and first hit ‘One Inch Man’.  It’s certainly a more direct song about Trump himself.  He’s a one inch man at heart and he knows it.  That’s why he does what he does.  At the end of the day ‘he’s so lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely!!’

Jerry Cantrell – Pig Charmer

From the 2002 solo outing ‘Degradation Trip’.  ‘Pig Charmer’ is an oddly accurate look at Trumps base.  Although Trump is the pig charmer.  It vividly paints the lifestyle of the uneducated American and it’s consequences.  All delivered in that dry tone of Jerry Cantrell.

Faith No More – The Gentle Art of Making Enemies

This track taken from Faith No More’s ‘King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime’.  ‘The Gentle Art of Making Enemies’ is an angry look at society.  If the Trump administration disgusts you, this song is right up your alley.

Anthrax – Gridlock

Anthrax’s fifth song from their ‘Persistence of Time’ album is lyrically perfect.  This song is for the ones who voted for Trump.  He built you up, now he’s going to tear it all down.

Prong – Broken Piece

A perfect song for getting back on your feet.  If you feel down now, just listen to this and you’ll feel ready to work.  It’s a perfect, infectious groove.

Extreme – Peacemaker Die

It always seems that no matter how much someone fights for peace, they end up being assassinated or dying before their time.  Meanwhile, people like Trump win elections.  It’s the indifference of the universe.  We don’t know why.

Fates Warning – So

This is a great track for the exhaustion that’s to come in the next four years.  All the protesting, all the working that’s going to happen is going to be tiring.  It’s easy to feel discouraged when that happens and this song fits that mood perfectly.

Biohazard – Resist

This is pretty much a perfect protest song.  The world is going to need Biohazard.  Their combination of bone crushing, heavy metal groove and political lyrics are sure to see a spike in popularity.  People are upset and this is a perfect example of music that will fill the void.

King’s X – Sunshine Rain

This song is simply a great reminder.  No matter what happens we are here on this planet.  We are all in this together and we’re just walking through life.  We have to learn how to live in this world.  There will always be an up for the down that’s occurring.

Never give up.
